TW Shortt is a Kentucky real estate broker, writer, veteran, and community advocate based in Radcliff, Kentucky, near Fort Knox. After serving a twenty-year career in the United States Army, including service in Vietnam, TW built a second career in real estate that has now spanned more than three decades.

As the owner and principal broker of REALTY WORLD Knox Realty Group, TW has spent years helping families, property owners, investors, and small business owners understand the real estate decisions that affect their lives and their communities. His experience includes residential sales, commercial property, property management, local development issues, and the changing role of real estate professionals in today’s market.

TW also continued his education later in life, studying Paralegal Studies with a major in Political Science at Eastern Kentucky University in Richmond, Kentucky. That academic work strengthened his interest in law, government, public policy, and citizens’ rights and responsibilities.

TW Shortt Reports was created as a place to share clear, practical commentary on real estate, local government, small business, community development, veterans’ issues, and everyday matters that affect people in Hardin County and across Kentucky. The goal is simple: to explain issues in plain language, ask common-sense questions, and encourage citizens to stay informed and involved.

TW believes strong communities are built by people who show up, speak up, and do their part. His writing reflects the perspective of a veteran, a businessman, a former elected official, a community volunteer, and a lifelong student who still believes there is always more to learn.
